Daisy & Dale - DOB 09/21/2014
Daisy, Dale, and Ellis were three kittens that were dropped off at the vet clinic I work at when they were a little over a week old. Sadly, Ellis passed away from FKS (Fading Kitten Syndrome) at 2 1/2 weeks, about a week after I had him. I continued bottle feeding Daisy and Dale for the next month, waking up every two to three hours, until they were able to FINALLY eat kitten canned & moistened dry food. Ever since then, they've been growing like crazy!
Although they original deal was they would be gone before Christmas, these two love bugs made such an impression on me that I begged my parents to allow me to keep them (currently with my parents while applying for vet school). After weeks of groveling, pleading, and attempting to prove my seriousness in the matter, I was officially given the okay by "Santa" at Christmas. Looks like I wasn't the only one who fell in love with them <3
The "conditions" mentioned in the notes were that I kept my original promises of paying for all their expenses (medical, food, litter, etc.), taking them once I'm off to vet school, and ensuring they don't tear up the house AS WELL AS keeping their litter box clean so my room didn't reek of kitty poops.
It's been great being able to watch them grow and I am looking forward to continue watching them grow. <3
Dale, who was the runt of the litter, has become an extremely masculine boy who I am expecting to reach at least 13-15 pounds at his full healthy size. He is a snuggle bug who loves to be in the company of people and loves to have conversations with the family. As a very inquisitive individual, he is one to plot before running after his toys and tends to lead investigations around the house.
Daisy has become a very dainty little princess who I am expecting to reach maybe 10 pounds at her full healthy size. She isn't one for long periods of holding (although she does appreciate attention and the occasional snuggle), but she is very affectionate with the family and loves to give head butts to mama. Unlike her brother, Daisy is a somewhat nervous soul who is skittish and unsure about new situations. But with big bro by her side, she still loves a good adventure.
Check back here for more pictures as the year goes on. Maybe I'll make an instagram for them...MAAAAYBEEEE...
